Huge congratulations to Yentel Caers for yet another incredible achievement in 2024.
The famous Naxos wind provided a wonderful playground for the entire event crew to put on solid performances during the competition and once again, Yentel wowed the crowd with his consistency and power moves.
In the single elimination, Yentel was the first rider in history to land a double air culo in every one of his heats and was happy to finish in 3rd place but certainly felt that he would like to improve in the double.
In the double, Yentel faced the daunting task of coming up against an on-form Yacopo Testa who had stormed through 6 heats in a row but he put his head down and pulled out yet another of his signature double culos to advance through the heat.
Next up was 2nd place finisher in the single elimination, Steven Van Broeckhoven and Yentel proved too strong again, advancing onto the super-final against Lennart Neubauer on his home turf.
This time Neubauer used his home advantage to solidify his event win, but Yentel was happy with his event result and secured himself 3rd place in the overall FPT event rankings for 2024. Another incredible achievement Yentel. We are very proud of you!
Also thanks to the whole JP/NP Freestyle team on Naxos, Tigo Kort put on a good show and finished 13th.
The Greek locals Manolis Chrisopoulos and Lourantos Alexandros also sailed well and put on a fine show.
