ATLAS HD
POWER WAVE – CLASSIC HEAVY DUTY
Our favourite wave sail for onshore conditions and / or heavier sailors. Completely redesigned in 2024, the main design features remain unchanged for 2025. The Atlas features a slightly higher aspect ratio and adjusted sail shaping to allow for smoother handling and a much lighter feel in the hands. Blast over whitewater and jump higher than ever, without sacrificing agility on the wave.
HD construction is our most economical construction but don’t let the price tag fool you. The Ultra - PE X- Ply sail body with an X -Ply centre window form an extremely durable sail which is still light in the hands. The introduction of Powerfuse in the tack and clew of our HD construction since 2024 represents a significant upgrade over previous HD models, providing a pro-level strength-to-weight ratio at a more affordable price than the Pro Fuse.
**4.2 Atlas only available in HD C1 Blue / Deep Aqua**
DESIGN DRIVEN
INNOVATION
Designed and tested at our NeilPryde Maui Design Center by Robert Stroj, then further developed through our team riders' feedback from across the world. No stone is left uncovered in our relentless drive to be the best at what we do.
In 2024, we re-invented our wave sail range from the bottom up. We started at the 3D design level, creating new panel layouts and using new materials to eliminate stitches, reduce weight and increase responsiveness. In 2025, the main design features remain unchanged, but we have improved material choices in the foot and clew for even greater durability.
The result is our best wave sail line up in the company's history.

Sail Features
Tight leech provides power for early planing and upwind performance.
A large tuning range that allows the rider to trim the sail for all conditions, thanks to the combination of a pronounced luff curve in the boom area and a high outhaul tension that stabilizes the profile.
Greater luff curve than the Combat and Zone to provide ultimate high wind control.
5 batten layout to provide greater stability and lighter feeling.
Wave Sail Range Comparison
ZONE
Designed for advanced wave sailors to get the most out of performance down-the-line boards.
Extremely light and maneuverable on the wave. Excellent for radical turns and aerial moves on the wave.
Easy to throw around jumps and forgiving in landings.
Ideal for side to side-offshore conditions. Excels in float and ride to medium power conditions.
COMBAT
Designed to offer maximum advantage to our PWA riders in all conditions around the globe.
Light and controllable from low to extremely high winds. Excellent for radical turns, aerial moves on the wave.
Exceptionally responsive for jumping and riding.
Ideal for side-onshore to side-offshore conditions. Widest wind range and range of use.
ATLAS
Designed for heavier wave sailors and / or sailors who predominantly sail in onshore / side-onshore.
Smooth, controllable power and excellent high wind control. Rig big, power through shorebreak, jump high.
Extra power and stability for onshore wave sailing.
Ideal for bump and jump free-riding, small to medium wavs, intermediate level free-styling and free-riding.
In order to achieve the weight savings and performance enhancements that we were looking for in 2024, we redesigned our entire wave sail construction, all the way from the panel layout.
We developed very specific materials across the range which enabled us to use larger individual panels with less seams in order to significantly reduce the weight of all 3 technologies.
In 2025, the main design features of the wave sail range remain unchanged but we have improved material choices in the foot and clew of the sails for extra durability.
Variable thickness laminates have been the basis of NeilPryde’s panel layout design philosophy for over 10 years and we have been improving their performance and increasing the areas where we are able to use these technologies year over year.
As a wave sailor who has been involved in the R&D for the Combat since 2004, I can honestly say that the 2024 edition of the Combat was the biggest single-year advancement we ever made. The Pro Fuse version is the epitome of all of our design knowledge and it is an amazing step forward. In 2025, the main design features remained the same but we improved the foot and clew materials for extra durability.
We have eliminated many seams from the sail: the leading edge luff sleeve seam, the seam that used to go around the entire head of the sail where Ultra Scrim was replaced by Technora and all of the seams from the tack and clew.
The Pro Fuse material itself is also significantly lighter than Powerfuse due to its construction and this has allowed us to make the sails a massive 25% lighter. When you first pick up a sail in your hands before rigging, you can immediately feel the weight difference and on the water, the light handling is instantly noticeable.
We also massively improved the high-wind performance of the sails this year through a combination of a new luff curve, new shaping and new sail outline, together with the introduction of the new materials and the result is definitely our best all-round high-performance wave sail ever.
